Automatic expense tracking, without linking your bank
Updated
An automatic expense tracker sounds like one that pulls every transaction from your bank by itself. Jayb doesn't log in to your bank. Instead it takes the typing out of tracking: bills that repeat add themselves, categories and accounts fill in from your habits, and Jayb AI turns a statement, a screenshot or a spreadsheet into entries in one go. Here's what's automatic in Jayb, and what you still do yourself.
What Jayb does for you
- Repeating bills add themselves: rent, internet or school fees, weekly, monthly or yearly, on the day they're due.
- A yearly payment can be spread over the months it covers, one entry a month.
- Categories fill in from what you've paid that place before, and the account you usually use for that category is picked for you.
- Send Jayb AI a screenshot of your Easypaisa, JazzCash or bank app, a PDF or CSV statement, or an Excel sheet: it reads every line, leaves out what's already in Jayb, and adds the rest after you confirm.
- Every account's balance can be checked against your bank's statement, with exactly why it differs.
What's left for you, made quick
- Everyday spending is one line to Jayb AI: "chai 150 cash se", "petrol 3000 from Meezan".
- Or tap the mic and say it, in English or Urdu.
- At 9pm a reminder tells you how the day went, so nothing slips.
What Jayb doesn't do
Jayb doesn't connect to your bank or wallet, and it doesn't read your text messages. Nothing is pulled in without you: you add entries, or send Jayb AI a statement or a screenshot when you want to bring a stretch of history in or check an account.
Questions
