A short index of these pages is at https://www.jayb.io/llms.txt. ## Questions people ask ### What is Jayb? Jayb is a budgeting app and money manager with Jayb AI, its built-in AI assistant. It tracks your expenses and income across every account, sets budgets that start on your payday, plans savings goals, and answers questions about your money. ### Is there an AI budgeting app for Pakistan? Yes. Jayb is a free AI budgeting app and personal finance app that works the way money works in Pakistan: amounts in rupees and lakhs, budgets that start on payday, udhaar, and Jayb AI, which understands English, Urdu and Roman Urdu. Send it a screenshot of your Easypaisa, JazzCash or bank app and it adds what's missing after you confirm. ### What can Jayb AI do? Almost everything the app can. Tell it what you spent by voice or text, ask where your money went, set budgets and goals, or send it a receipt, a bank statement or an Excel sheet. It asks when something isn't clear and waits for your confirm before bigger changes. ### Can I move from Hysab Kytab to Jayb? Yes. Import the export from the Hysab Kytab app (the Android .xls or iPhone .csv file) and every account, transfer and person comes across, with each account's balance checked against the file. ### Is Jayb free? Yes. Jayb is free to use, with every feature, including Jayb AI. It runs in the browser on any phone or computer and can be added to your phone's home screen like an app. Android and iPhone apps are coming soon. ### How is Jayb different from other budget apps? Budgets follow your salary day instead of the calendar, you can budget together as a family, Jayb AI answers with the exact transactions behind every number, and you can talk to it in English or Urdu and it answers out loud. ### Does Jayb work with any bank? Yes. You add your accounts yourself (bank, wallet, cash, savings, credit card, investments), and you can check them against your bank's statement by sending Jayb AI a PDF, a CSV or Excel export, or a screenshot of your bank or wallet app. ### Which currencies does Jayb support? Each account has its own currency, and totals are kept per currency. Rupees come first; other currencies count in your net worth at your own rate or today's market rate. ### Is my data private? Your spending, budgets and reports are yours alone, even on an account you share. Receipts and statements are stored privately and only ever shown to you. ### What does the name mean? Jayb (جیب) means pocket in Urdu. Managing your jayb means managing everything in it: your accounts, your spending and your savings. --- # A budgeting app that fits how you're paid Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/budgeting-app Jayb is an AI budgeting app and money manager that builds your budget around your payday instead of the calendar. Set one cap for the month, a budget for each category, or both, and Jayb works out what's safe to spend today, what's left for the month, and whether you're on pace. When the month ends, it shows how it went and what to change next. ## Budgets that match your month - Start the budget month on any day from 1 to 28, like your salary day. With the 25th, 'September' runs from 25 September to 24 October. - Weekly (Monday to Sunday), monthly and yearly budgets, side by side. - A different amount for just one month, for Ramadan, Eid or a wedding. The usual amount comes back after. - Carry over what's left, or what you overspent, into the next period, chained month after month. ## One number to steer by - Safe to spend today: what today can take and still keep you on track for the month. - Left to spend this month, what that means per day for the days left, and today against yesterday. - A projected month end, so you see an overspend coming before it happens. - Budget alerts the moment an expense crosses your warning point: 70%, 80% or 90% of a budget, or only once it's over. They show in the app, in the bell, and as a phone notification if you turn those on. ## Budgets from your own spending - Suggest fills in budgets from your last 3 or 6 months, with a live total against your cap. - One budget can cover several categories, like Food & Drink and Grocery together as "Eating", with one limit for all of them. - See what your budgets add up to, how far that is from the cap, each one's share, and its 3- and 6-month averages. - Leave things like Zakat, Khums or tax out of budgets: they still show in reports but never count against a limit or the safe-to-spend number. - History shows every month and category against its budget, going back years. ## Keeping it going - A streak counts the days in a row you kept track (something added, or 'Nothing spent today'), never how much you spent. - Month in review, in the first week of every month: how many budgets held, where the money went, and one-tap changes for next month. - Budget together with your spouse in family budgets, without merging your accounts. - Ask Jayb AI to set, change or remove a budget, or to set the day your month starts. - New to budgeting? Short guided tours walk you through each main screen, and a small info icon next to a figure says what it means. Budgeted before? You get the short version: only what's different. ## How it works 1. **Pick your month**: Choose the day your budget month starts, from 1 to 28. Every budget, the Home card and month in review follow it. 2. **Set your limits**: Add a monthly cap, budgets for one category or several together, or both. Tap Suggest to start from your own averages. 3. **Spend with one number**: Home shows safe to spend today and what's left for the month, and warns you when a budget gets close. 4. **Adjust at month end**: Month in review suggests what to raise, lower, add or carry over, one tap each. ## Who it's for - Salaried people whose month really starts on payday, not the 1st. - Anyone who wants one daily number instead of a spreadsheet. - Households planning around Ramadan, Eid, school fees or a wedding month. - Couples who want a shared view of household spending. ## Questions ### Can my budget month start on my salary day? Yes. Pick any day from 1 to 28 and every budget, the Home card and month in review follow it. With the 25th, September runs from 25 September to 24 October. ### What happens to money I don't spend? Turn on carry over for a budget and what's left adds to the next period's limit; overspending comes off it. It chains across months. ### What does 'safe to spend today' mean? It's what you can spend today and still stay on track for the rest of the budget month, based on what's left and the days remaining. ### Can I keep Zakat or Khums out of my budget? Yes. Mark the category 'leave out of budgets'. It still shows in reports, but never counts against a budget, the cap or safe to spend. ### When do budget alerts arrive? When an expense brings a budget to your warning point (80% unless you choose 70%, 90% or only when over) or past its limit. You can turn them off in Me, Reminders, dates, rates. ## Related - [Expense tracking](https://www.jayb.io/features/expense-tracker.md) - [Reports and month in review](https://www.jayb.io/features/spending-reports.md) - [Family budget](https://www.jayb.io/features/family-budget.md) - [Categories](https://www.jayb.io/features/expense-categories.md) --- # An expense tracker that's quicker than a notebook Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/expense-tracker Jayb is an AI budgeting app and money manager with an expense tracker built for speed. Tell Jayb AI one line the way you'd say it, typed or spoken, such as 'chai 150 cash se' or 'salary 150k mila Meezan mein', and it's saved; if something it needs is missing, like which account, it asks. You can also use the full form, or send a picture of a receipt or a page of notes. Every account and every year sits in one ledger. ## One line, and it's done - Tell Jayb AI, typed or spoken: 'chai 150 cash se', 'doodh 2 hazar from Meezan', 'salary 150k mila'. English, Roman Urdu and Urdu all work. - It understands amounts said any way (2 hazar, derh lakh, 1.5 lakh) and matches what you say to your own accounts, people and categories. - When something it needs isn't clear, like which account or which category, it asks with answers to tap instead of guessing. - Everything it saves shows as a card with Undo. ## A form that does the work - Payee suggestions from the places you pay; the category fills in once a payee has been used twice with it. - The usual account for a category is picked for you. - Commas as you type (12,500), and + − × ÷ keys to add up a receipt. - Dates typed the way you write them (DD/MM/YYYY by default), with Today and Yesterday chips, and a time only if you want one. - Attach a receipt or bill: it's stored privately and read to fill in an empty amount, payee and date. - Save & add another keeps the type and account for the next entry, and every save shows the moment you tap. ## Every kind of money movement - Expense, income, transfers between your own accounts, saving into a savings or investment account, and lending and borrowing with people. - Repeating entries (weekly, monthly or yearly) that add themselves. - Spread one amount over months: a yearly insurance premium becomes twelve monthly entries, each on the day you choose. - Bank accounts, cash, wallets like Easypaisa and JazzCash, credit cards, savings and investments, in any currency. ## A ledger you can find things in - Month by month, grouped by day with each day's total; future-dated entries sit in their own month. - Search over payee, note and category, opened in place, with filters by type. - Each row shows the category, payee, note, amount and account, with an icon for repeating entries. ## How it works 1. **Add your accounts**: Tap your banks and wallets during setup, or say them. Each gets its bank's logo and a starting balance. 2. **Record as you go**: The full form, a sentence to Jayb AI, or a photo of a receipt. 3. **Check the ledger**: Every entry, day by day, with search and filters, across all your accounts. 4. **See where it went**: Home, budgets and reports update the moment you save. ## Who it's for - Anyone who has tried a notebook or a spreadsheet and stopped after a week. - People who think in Roman Urdu and amounts like '2 hazar' or '1.5 lakh'. - Anyone with money spread over banks, wallets, cash and cards. ## Questions ### Does it understand Roman Urdu? Yes. Jayb AI understands lines like 'petrol 3000 cash se' or 'doodh 2 hazar', typed or spoken, and Urdu too. ### Does Jayb connect to my bank? No. Jayb doesn't log in to your bank. You record entries yourself, with the form, by telling Jayb AI or from a picture, and can check any account against your bank's statement whenever you like. ### Can I attach receipts and bills? Yes. Attach a photo or PDF to any transaction. It's stored privately and read to fill in the amount, payee and date if they're empty. ### Can I track income as well as expenses? Yes. Income, expenses, transfers, savings and money lent or borrowed all go in the same ledger, and reports show money out and money in. ## Related - [Talk to Jayb AI](https://www.jayb.io/features/voice-expense-tracker.md) - [Receipts and written lists](https://www.jayb.io/features/receipt-scanner.md) - [Bills and reminders](https://www.jayb.io/features/bill-reminders.md) - [Budgeting](https://www.jayb.io/features/budgeting-app.md) --- # Jayb AI: an AI money assistant that knows your numbers Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/ai-money-assistant Jayb AI is the AI money assistant built into Jayb, the AI budgeting app and money manager. Talk to it or type, in English or Urdu, and it can do almost everything the app can: record and change transactions, set budgets, manage accounts, people, categories and goals, and answer any question about your money from your own transactions, with the sources to prove it. It acts straight away only when it's sure, asks a short question when it isn't, and waits for your Confirm before anything risky. ## It does the work - Record, change, delete and look up any transaction; make one repeat, or spread one amount over months. - Add and edit accounts and people: opening balance, card statement and due days, account number, the bank or wallet it's with, your own exchange rate. Close and reopen accounts, and update a balance to what the bank shows. - Share an account, cancel an invitation, stop sharing, or leave an account shared with you. - Add, rename and delete categories, change their look, leave them out of budgets, and add starter packs. - Set and remove budgets (carry-over, a different amount for one month), set the day budget months start, and manage saving goals. - Settle up with people, change your reminders and date format, mark a day with nothing spent, convert currencies, and open any screen. ## Answers you can check - Spending, income, balances, debts and trends for any period, with charts, tables and headline figures. - Every answer carries a sources card: the dates, filters, the sum and the exact transactions, linked to your ledger. - It looks back on any finished month, and suggests questions from what stands out in your money: a budget near its limit, a bill due, someone who owes you. ## It asks instead of guessing - It changes something straight away only when everything it needs is clear from what you said: the amount, money in or out, the account, the category and any person; a budget's category, amount and period; a goal's target; a new account's balance. - It never picks your usual account or category for you: those only come first among the answers it offers. - Otherwise it asks one short question with answers to tap (or you type your own), and changes nothing until you answer. - Risky changes, like deleting, closing an account, removing someone from a shared account or anything from a document, wait for your Confirm tap, which shows exactly what will happen. - What it made shows as cards with Undo, and every change is logged. ## It reads your files - Receipts and bills: the shop, date, total and items, matched to the expense or added as a new one. - Bank, card and wallet statements, PDFs, and screenshots of Easypaisa, JazzCash or bank app history: checked line by line against your account. - Handwritten pages, notes, messages and spreadsheets (CSV and Excel) turned into transactions with one Confirm. - Text inside a file is read as data, never followed as instructions. ## Talk, type or expand - Open Jayb AI from any screen and tap the mic to talk; it answers out loud. Or type, and it answers on screen. - Chats are saved: switch, rename, pin, archive, delete and search them, and pick up where you left off. - Expand it into a full workspace with your chats beside the conversation. ## How it works 1. **Open it anywhere**: Tap Jayb AI's button on any screen, then tap the mic to start talking. 2. **Say what you need**: 'Add 2,500 for groceries from Meezan', 'How much did I spend on food last month?', or attach a receipt or statement. 3. **Answer or confirm**: If something isn't clear it asks with answers to tap. Risky changes show a Confirm card first. 4. **Check and undo**: Answers come with sources; changes come back as cards with Undo. ## Who it's for - People who would rather say 'I spent 800 on petrol' than fill in a form. - Anyone who wants straight answers about their own money, with the transactions behind them. - People who keep receipts, statements, notes or spreadsheets and never get round to entering them. ## Questions ### Does Jayb AI make changes on its own? Only when it's sure of the amount, money in or out, the account, the category and any person. If anything that matters isn't clear, it asks one short question with answers to tap and changes nothing until you answer. Risky changes, such as deleting or anything from a document, wait for your Confirm tap. ### Can I talk to it in Urdu? Yes. Open Jayb AI, tap the mic and speak in English, Urdu or a mix of both. When you talk it answers out loud; when you type it answers on screen. ### How do I know its answers are right? Every answer about your money comes with a sources card showing the dates, the filters, the sum and the exact transactions, linked to your ledger. ### Is there anything it can't do? A few things are done on their own screens: importing a Hysab Kytab file, family budgets and invites, turning on phone notifications, editing your profile and resetting your account. It tells you where and opens the screen. ### Will it answer questions that aren't about money? No. It helps with Jayb, your money, budgeting and everyday money questions. Anything else gets one polite line and an offer of what it can do. ## Related - [Talk to Jayb AI](https://www.jayb.io/features/voice-expense-tracker.md) - [Statement checks](https://www.jayb.io/features/bank-statement-reconciliation.md) - [Receipts and written lists](https://www.jayb.io/features/receipt-scanner.md) - [Spreadsheets](https://www.jayb.io/features/import-expenses-from-excel.md) --- # A voice expense tracker you can just talk to Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/voice-expense-tracker Jayb is an AI budgeting app and money manager you can run by voice. It understands amounts the way people say them, like 'dhai hazaar' or 'derh lakh', and matches the names of your own accounts, people and categories even when they're misheard. ## Say it the way you'd say it - English, Urdu, or both in one sentence: 'kal 500 ka petrol dalwaya cash se' works as well as 'I spent 500 on petrol yesterday'. - Amounts in digits or words, with hazaar, lakh and crore, and halves and quarters like derh, dhai, sawa and pone. - Dates and times from what you say: 'kal', 'last Friday', 'this morning'. - An amount said in another currency is converted into the account's currency at your own rate or today's market rate, with the rate noted. ## It talks back - When you talk, it answers out loud, in the language you used; when you type, it answers quietly on screen. - Spoken replies are short and plain. Charts, tables and figures stay on screen while it talks. - Tap the orb to stop it speaking. It remembers whether you last talked or typed. ## Much more than adding expenses - Ask anything: 'How much did I spend on food this month?', 'Who still owes me?', 'Am I on track?' - Edit or delete an entry, move it to another account, or make it repeat. - Set budgets, add accounts and people, settle up, manage goals and categories, and change your reminders. - When something isn't clear, like which account, it asks one short question with answers to tap. - Anything risky waits for your Confirm tap, and changes come back with Undo. ## Only listening when you ask - It listens while you hold the mic, or from one tap on the mic until the next. It never listens in the background. - Every conversation is saved as a chat you can read back, search or delete. ## How it works 1. **Tap the mic**: Open Jayb AI on any screen, tap the mic and start talking. Tap again to send. 2. **Say what happened**: 'Groceries 4,200 from Meezan', or a question like 'What did I spend on fuel last month?' 3. **Hear the answer**: Jayb AI replies out loud and shows any figures, charts and what it saved on screen. 4. **Tap if it asks**: If something isn't clear, tap an answer. Undo anything it made in one tap. ## Who it's for - People who are on the move and want to record spending in two seconds. - Anyone more comfortable speaking Urdu than typing it. - Anyone who finds forms fiddly on a small screen. ## Questions ### Which languages can I speak? English and Urdu, including both in the same sentence. It replies in the language you used. ### Is it always listening? No. It only listens while you hold the mic, or after you tap the mic until you tap again to send. ### What if it mishears a name or an amount? It matches what it heard to your own accounts, people and categories. If something that matters is still unclear, it asks you before saving anything, and every change it makes has Undo. ### Can I type instead? Yes. Type whenever you like; it answers on screen, and it remembers whether you last typed or talked. ## Related - [Jayb AI](https://www.jayb.io/features/ai-money-assistant.md) - [Expense tracking](https://www.jayb.io/features/expense-tracker.md) - [Receipts and written lists](https://www.jayb.io/features/receipt-scanner.md) - [Budgeting](https://www.jayb.io/features/budgeting-app.md) --- # Receipts, bills and handwritten lists, read for you Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/receipt-scanner Jayb is an AI budgeting app and money manager that reads pictures and PDFs for you. Bank, card and wallet statements as PDFs, pictures, CSV or Excel files, and screenshots of an app's transaction history. ### Does it change anything without asking? No. Every fix, whether adding a missing entry, taking the statement's amount or removing a duplicate, is shown on a Confirm card first. ### My screenshot doesn't show the year. Is that a problem? No. Dates without a year are read as the most recent such date. ### Does Jayb log in to my bank to get the statement? No. You download the statement or take the screenshot yourself and send it to Jayb AI. ### Can it add a month of spending from a statement? Yes. CSV, Excel .xlsx and older Excel .xls files, in any layout, up to 4 MB. ### Will importing the same sheet twice create duplicates? No. Rows already in Jayb are left out. ### How many rows can it add at once? Up to 150 rows on one Confirm card. ### Can I import a Hysab Kytab export this way? Use the Import screen for that: it's built for Hysab Kytab's own files and reconciles every account. ### What if the sheet uses a category I don't have? At the start of every month, Jayb's month in review shows how the last month went and what to change next, one tap each. ## Reports for any period - Monthly, quarterly, half-year, yearly and all time, stepping back through your whole history. - Spending pace: the running total against the previous period. - Where it went: a category chart for money out and money in, opening to every category with its amount and share. - A 12-month trend of income, spending and net. - Each category against your 6-month average, and the budget for the period. ## Month in review - For the last finished budget month and the five before it. - Spent against your cap and the month before; income, money put aside and days you kept track. - How many budgets held, and where the money went against your usual. - What to change next month: raise a budget that's over, lower one that's barely used, add one for big unbudgeted spending, or carry over what's left. - A picture to share, with or without the amounts, through your phone's share sheet. ## Ask instead of digging - Ask Jayb AI any question about your spending and get charts, tables and figures. - Every answer has a sources card that opens the exact transactions in your ledger. - A Sunday summary of the week, and a reminder on the 1st to look back on last month. ## What counts as spending - Transfers between your own accounts and money put into savings never count as spending. - Lending and borrowing aren't income or spending either. - A balance adjustment changes the balance but not your reports or budgets. - Categories left out of budgets, like Zakat, still show in reports. ## How it works 1. **Record as usual**: Reports build themselves from your transactions; there's nothing to set up. 2. **Open Reports**: Pick a period and step back through your history. 3. **Review the month**: In the first week of each month, a banner opens last month in review. 4. **Make the changes**: Tap the suggestions you agree with, and your budgets update. ## Who it's for - Anyone who gets to the end of the month and wonders where it went. - People who want a monthly habit of looking back, without building charts. - Couples who want to share a month's picture, with or without the amounts. ## Questions ### How far back do reports go? As far as your history does. Choose all time, or step back period by period. ### Does it show income too? Yes. The category chart shows money out and money in, and the 12-month trend shows income, spending and net. ### What is month in review? A look back at your last budget month: spending against your cap, income, savings, which budgets held, and one-tap suggestions for next month. ### Can I share my month? Yes. Month in review makes a picture you can share through your phone, with or without the amounts. ### Do transfers and savings show up as spending? No. Moving money between your own accounts or into savings, and lending or borrowing, are never counted as spending. ## Related - [Budgeting](https://www.jayb.io/features/budgeting-app.md) - [Categories](https://www.jayb.io/features/expense-categories.md) - [Jayb AI](https://www.jayb.io/features/ai-money-assistant.md) - [Savings goals](https://www.jayb.io/features/savings-goals.md) --- # Your net worth, from every account, in one place Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/net-worth-tracker Jayb is an AI budgeting app and money manager that keeps every account you have in one place and adds them up into your net worth. Banks, cash, wallets, credit cards, savings, investments and the people you've lent to or borrowed from all count. Home shows your net worth, its real 12-month history and the change since the 1st, split into the money in your accounts, what's owed to you, and what you owe. ## Every account - Bank, cash, savings, investment, wallet, credit card, person and other accounts. - Pick the bank or wallet, from Pakistan's banks (Islamic, microfinance and digital ones too) and wallets like Easypaisa, JazzCash, SadaPay and NayaPay, to Payoneer, Wise and PayPal. Its logo becomes the account's picture. - The last 4 digits beside an account tell two accounts at the same bank apart. - Totals per currency, and a switch to hide accounts at zero. ## A net worth you can trust - Lending money doesn't lower your net worth: it's still yours, just with someone else. - Saving into a savings or investment account stays in your net worth and never counts as spending. - A credit card counts what you owe on it. - Accounts in other currencies count at your own rate, or today's market rate. ## Balances that match the bank - An opening balance is the balance on a day, so you enter what the bank shows now and only later entries change it. - 'Update to actual balance' adds a visible adjustment for the difference. It's not income or spending, so budgets and reports ignore it. - Check an account against its statement any time with Jayb AI. ## Closing an account - Close an account on a day, with a warning if money is still in it. - It leaves your lists and net worth from then; its history stays, and earlier months still count it. - Closed accounts fold away at the end of the Accounts page, and can be reopened. ## How it works 1. **Add your accounts**: Tap your banks and wallets, and enter what each one shows today. 2. **Record as you go**: Every entry updates the balances and your net worth. 3. **Watch it grow**: Home shows your net worth, its 12-month history and the change since the 1st. 4. **Keep it accurate**: Check against statements, or update a balance to what the bank shows. ## Who it's for - Anyone with money in more than one bank or wallet. - Freelancers with money in rupee accounts and dollar accounts. - People saving towards something who want to see the whole picture grow. ## Questions ### Does lending money lower my net worth? No. Lending moves money from your account to a person's, so it still counts as yours until it's settled or let go. ### How are other currencies counted? At your own rate for that currency if you've set one, otherwise today's market rate. The account shows which rule it follows. ### My balance doesn't match the bank. What do I do? Send Jayb AI the statement to find the difference line by line, or use 'Update to actual balance' to add one visible adjustment. ### What happens when I close an account? It leaves your lists and net worth from the day you choose. Its history stays, and you can reopen it. ## Related - [Multiple currencies](https://www.jayb.io/features/multi-currency-expense-tracker.md) - [Credit cards](https://www.jayb.io/features/credit-card-tracker.md) - [Lend and borrow](https://www.jayb.io/features/debt-tracker.md) - [Savings goals](https://www.jayb.io/features/savings-goals.md) --- # Savings goals with a plan you can keep Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/savings-goals Jayb is an AI budgeting app and money manager with savings goals that come with a plan. No. Saving moves money into a savings or investment account: it never counts against a budget and stays in your net worth. ### Can a goal follow my savings account? Yes. Link the account and the goal moves on whenever you save into it. ### How does it know if I'm behind? From the target, the date and what's saved so far, it works out what's needed each month or week and compares it with where you are. ### Can I take money out of a goal? Yes. Take money out by hand whenever you need to, and the plan adjusts to what's left to save. ### Can Jayb AI manage my goals? Yes. Ask it to create, change or archive a goal, add money to one, or bring an archived goal back. ## Related - [Net worth and accounts](https://www.jayb.io/features/net-worth-tracker.md) - [Budgeting](https://www.jayb.io/features/budgeting-app.md) - [Reports and month in review](https://www.jayb.io/features/spending-reports.md) - [Expense tracking](https://www.jayb.io/features/expense-tracker.md) --- # Budget together as a family Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/family-budget Jayb is an AI budgeting app and money manager that lets couples budget together without merging everything. Invite your spouse and set family budgets, a family cap and category budgets, that add up both of your spending and show who spent what. Your own accounts, budgets and transactions stay your own. ## Shared where it matters - A family cap and category budgets that add up both people's spending. - Categories are matched by name, so 'Grocery' on your side and 'Grocery' on theirs count together. - See who spent what in each budget. ## Private where it should be - Your own budgets, accounts and transactions stay yours. - Family budgets show totals and who spent what, not each other's individual transactions. - Leaving the family never changes anyone's own budgets or accounts. - Each of you keeps your own budgets alongside the family ones. ## Simple to set up - Everything lives under Budgets, Family: the invitation, the family cap and the family category budgets. - No shared accounts are needed: family budgets add up the spending each of you records in your own accounts. - Ask Jayb AI where it is and it opens the screen for you. ## Share an account too - Share a joint bank account, wallet or household cash with your spouse: both see its balance and can add to it. - Each person's spending on it still counts only in their own reports and budgets. ## How it works 1. **Invite your spouse**: From Budgets, Family, invite them by the email they use for Jayb. 2. **They accept**: The invitation arrives in their bell. 3. **Set family budgets**: A family cap, and budgets for the categories you share. 4. **Spend as usual**: Each of you records your own spending; the family budgets add it up. ## Who it's for - Married couples who each have their own accounts but share a household. - Families who want to know what the house really costs each month. - Couples planning together for big months like Ramadan or Eid. ## Questions ### Does my spouse see all my transactions? No. Family budgets show totals and who spent what in each budget, not each other's individual transactions. ### What if we name our categories differently? Family budgets match categories by name, so use the same name on both sides for a category you want counted together. ### What happens if one of us leaves? Leaving never touches anyone's own budgets or accounts. ### Do we need a joint account to use family budgets? No. Family budgets add up the spending each of you records in your own accounts. Sharing an account is optional. ### How is this different from a shared account? A family budget adds up both people's spending against shared limits. A shared account is one account, like a joint bank account, that both of you can see and add to. ## Related - [Shared accounts](https://www.jayb.io/features/shared-accounts.md) - [Budgeting](https://www.jayb.io/features/budgeting-app.md) - [Categories](https://www.jayb.io/features/expense-categories.md) - [Reports and month in review](https://www.jayb.io/features/spending-reports.md) --- # Share an account without sharing everything Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/shared-accounts Jayb is an AI budgeting app and money manager that lets two people use the same account. Share a joint bank account, a wallet or the household cash with someone who has a Jayb account: both of you see its balance and can add to it. Each person's spending, reports and budgets stay their own, so sharing an account never mixes up your numbers. ## One balance, both of you - The account's owner invites someone with a Jayb account by email; they accept in their bell. - Both see the balance and can add entries to it. - The balance is the account's, whoever added what. ## Your numbers stay yours - Each person's spending, reports and budgets are their own, even on a shared account. - What you spend from the shared account counts in your budgets, and what they spend counts in theirs. ## Good to know - Only people already on Jayb can be invited, so an invitation never goes to someone who can't see it. - Invitations wait in the bell until they're answered, and the owner hears back either way. - The balance is worked out for the account itself, so both of you always see the same figure. - Sharing an account is separate from family budgets: you can use either, or both. ## In control - Cancel an invitation, stop sharing with someone, or leave an account shared with you. - When someone leaves, what they added stays on the account, and the owner is told. - Jayb AI can share, cancel, stop sharing or leave for you; removing someone waits for your Confirm. ## How it works 1. **Open the account**: On the account you own, choose to share it. 2. **Invite by email**: Enter the email they use for Jayb. 3. **They accept**: The invitation is in their bell; you're told when they answer. 4. **Use it together**: Both of you add to it, and both see the balance. ## Who it's for - Couples with a joint bank account. - Families keeping track of the household cash. - Partners sharing one wallet for a small business or a trip. - Flatmates or siblings who keep a common pot for the house. ## Questions ### Does the other person need a Jayb account? Yes. Only people already on Jayb can be invited, by the email they use for it. ### Will their spending show in my reports? No. Each person's spending, reports and budgets are their own, even on a shared account. ### What happens when someone leaves? What they added stays on the account, and the owner is told. ### Can Jayb AI share an account for me? Yes. Ask it to share an account, cancel an invitation, stop sharing with someone or leave an account shared with you. Removing someone waits for your Confirm. ### Is a shared account the same as a family budget? No. A shared account is one account two people use. A family budget adds up both people's spending against shared limits, from their own accounts. ## Related - [Family budget](https://www.jayb.io/features/family-budget.md) - [Net worth and accounts](https://www.jayb.io/features/net-worth-tracker.md) - [Lend and borrow](https://www.jayb.io/features/debt-tracker.md) - [Budgeting](https://www.jayb.io/features/budgeting-app.md) --- # Keep track of who owes whom Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/debt-tracker Jayb is an AI budgeting app and money manager that keeps a running balance with every person you lend to or borrow from. No. Lending and borrowing move money between your account and a person, so they're never income or spending. ### How do WhatsApp reminders work? Tap Remind on WhatsApp and a polite message with the amount and date opens in your own WhatsApp, addressed to their number if you saved one. You send it yourself. ### What if I decide not to ask for the money back? Use Settle up to let it go, fully or partly. It's recorded as forgiven, not as a payment that never happened. ### Does the other person need Jayb? No. A person is just a name, with a phone number if you want WhatsApp reminders. ## Related - [Net worth and accounts](https://www.jayb.io/features/net-worth-tracker.md) - [Shared accounts](https://www.jayb.io/features/shared-accounts.md) - [Bills and reminders](https://www.jayb.io/features/bill-reminders.md) - [Jayb AI](https://www.jayb.io/features/ai-money-assistant.md) --- # Keep your credit cards in check Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/credit-card-tracker Jayb is an AI budgeting app and money manager that tracks your credit cards alongside everything else. Three days before the card's payment due day, if there's money owing on it, in the bell and as a phone notification if you've turned those on. ### Does paying the card bill count as spending twice? No. The spending counts when you use the card. Paying the bill from your bank is a transfer between your own accounts. ### Can I check my card against its statement? Yes. Send Jayb AI the card statement and it shows what's missing, extra or different, and why the balance differs. ### Does what I owe on the card count in my net worth? Yes. Money that isn't day-to-day spending, like Zakat, Khums or tax, can be left out of budgets while still showing in your reports. ## A good start - Ten everyday categories: Salary, Other Income, Food & Drink, Grocery, Transport, Bills & Utilities, Home, Shopping, Health and Other Expense. - Starter packs at setup or any time: Student, Salaried, Household, Freelancer and Shopkeeper. - Household adds Domestic Help, Eid, Eidi, Khums and Zakat; Freelancer adds Software & Tools and Tax; Shopkeeper adds Stock Purchase, Staff Wages and Sales. ## Easy to tell apart - Add, rename and delete income and expense categories, with an icon and a colour. - New categories get an icon that fits the name and a colour their siblings don't have. - 'Give each its own look' restyles look-alikes in one tap, with Undo, and never touches ones you styled yourself. ## Leave out of budgets - For money that isn't day-to-day spending, like Khums, Zakat or tax. - It still shows in reports, but never counts against a budget, the cap, the month card or safe to spend. ## Picked for you - On the add screen, once a payee has been used twice with a category, it's filled in for you. - The add screen shows every category in one row, most used first, with search. - Reports compare each category with your 6-month average, and family budgets match categories by name. - Ask Jayb AI to add, rename or restyle categories, or add a starter pack. ## How it works 1. **Pick what fits you**: Choose a starter pack at setup, or skip it and keep the ten everyday categories. 2. **Make them yours**: Rename, add or restyle any category. 3. **Keep Zakat apart**: Mark Zakat, Khums or tax to leave them out of budgets. 4. **Let it learn**: After a payee's been used twice with a category, it fills in for you. ## Who it's for - Anyone who gives Zakat or Khums and doesn't want it to wreck their budget. - Students, salaried people, households, freelancers and shopkeepers who want categories that fit. - People who want a clear, colourful breakdown of where money goes. ## Questions ### How do I keep Zakat or Khums out of my budget? Mark the category 'leave out of budgets'. It still shows in reports, but never counts against a budget, the cap or safe to spend. The Household pack adds both already marked. ### Can I add a starter pack later? Yes. Add a pack's categories any time from Categories, or ask Jayb AI. ### How does it pick the category? On the add screen, from your own history: once a payee has been used twice with a category, it's filled in. Jayb AI uses the category you say, or the only one that fits, and asks when two could. ### Will budgets for categories still work if I rename them? Yes. Renaming changes the name, not the category, so its budgets and history stay with it. ## Related - [Budgeting](https://www.jayb.io/features/budgeting-app.md) - [Reports and month in review](https://www.jayb.io/features/spending-reports.md) - [Expense tracking](https://www.jayb.io/features/expense-tracker.md) - [Family budget](https://www.jayb.io/features/family-budget.md) --- # A Hysab Kytab alternative that keeps all your history Source: https://www.jayb.io/features/hysab-kytab-alternative Jayb is an AI budgeting app and money manager, and a Hysab Kytab alternative that brings your whole history across. Import the export from the Hysab Kytab app, Android .xls or iPhone .csv, and every transaction, account, transfer and person comes across, with every account balance checked against your file. Every year of it stays, and you keep going from where you left off. ## Your history, intact - Hysab Kytab's own exports, Android .xls and iPhone .csv, detected by what's in the file. - Transfers rebuilt as real transfers from one account to another. - People detected for lending and borrowing, the way Hysab Kytab kept them. - Tags and the order of each day's entries kept. - Every account reconciled against the file, with a guided review for iPhone transfers (that export doesn't say where they went). ## An import you can trust - It runs in the background, with progress shown anywhere in the app. - Imported categories get distinct icons and colours. - Importing again doesn't duplicate anything, and 'Replace previous import' rebuilds it cleanly. - Any other file is turned away rather than imported wrongly, with a pointer to Jayb AI, which reads any spreadsheet. ## Then more than before - Every transaction, every year: your whole history stays in Jayb. - Budgets on your salary day, savings goals, family budgets and shared accounts. - Jayb AI, which you can talk to in English or Urdu, and which reads receipts, statements and screenshots. - Pakistan's banks and wallets with their logos, rupees first, and other currencies supported. ## How it works 1. **Export from Hysab Kytab**: Use the app's own export: .xls on Android, .csv on iPhone. 2. **Import into Jayb**: From onboarding or the Import screen. It runs in the background. 3. **Check the accounts**: Every account is reconciled against the file; iPhone transfers get a guided review. 4. **Carry on**: Keep recording where you left off, with all your history in place. ## Who it's for - Hysab Kytab users who want to keep every year of their history. - People in Pakistan looking for a budget app that understands Roman Urdu and local banks and wallets. - Anyone who wants an AI assistant on top of their existing records. ## Questions ### Which Hysab Kytab files can I import? The Hysab Kytab app's own exports: .xls from Android and .csv from iPhone. ### Can I import more than once? Yes. Importing again never creates duplicates, and 'Replace previous import' rebuilds it cleanly. ### Is my older history kept? Yes. Every transaction in the file comes across, from the first year to the last. ### What if my iPhone export has transfers? The iPhone export doesn't say where transfers went, so Jayb walks you through a short review to place them. ### Do my categories and people come across? Yes. The import adds the categories the export has, with distinct icons and colours, and detects people for lending and borrowing. ## Related - [Spreadsheets](https://www.jayb.io/features/import-expenses-from-excel.md) - [Expense tracking](https://www.jayb.io/features/expense-tracker.md) - [Budgeting](https://www.jayb.io/features/budgeting-app.md) - [Jayb AI](https://www.jayb.io/features/ai-money-assistant.md) --- # Budgeting apps in Pakistan in 2026: an honest comparison Source: https://www.jayb.io/blog/best-budgeting-apps-pakistan · Updated 10 October 2026 Looking for the best budgeting app or personal finance app in Pakistan? The right one depends on what you need: an AI assistant you can talk to, a ledger for udhaar, a check of your bank statement, or a simple expense log. This guide compares the apps people in Pakistan use, on the things that matter here: price in rupees, Urdu, how entries get in, bank and wallet statements, and lending and borrowing. What it says about each app comes from that app's own website and store listing, checked on the date shown at the bottom. ## The short answer - Jayb: an AI budgeting app and money manager that works the way money works in Pakistan. Free on the web. Talk or type to Jayb AI in English or Urdu; it records entries, reads receipts, statements, screenshots and Excel sheets, and answers with the exact transactions behind every number. Budgets start on your salary day, and udhaar, shared accounts and family budgets are built in. - MyHisaab: expense tracking through WhatsApp messages, with text, voice and receipt photos, in Urdu and English. A one-time payment of Rs 2,499 on its website. - Kepto: a free website that reads PDF or Excel bank statements from Pakistani banks and wallets and sorts the transactions for you. - Hysab Kytab: a long-standing Pakistani expense tracker. Its apps were last updated in late 2023, and its website now offers its tools to banks. - Wallet, Money Manager, Spendee and Money Lover: global apps with paid plans in rupees on the Pakistan App Store. YNAB is priced in US dollars. ## Side by side Price is what the app's own pages or the Pakistan app stores show. "Not listed" means the app's pages don't mention it, not that it can't do it. | App | Where it runs | Price in Pakistan | AI or voice | Urdu | Bank or wallet statements | Lend and borrow (udhaar) | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Jayb | Web on any phone or computer; Android and iPhone apps coming soon | Free | Jayb AI: talk or type, does almost everything in the app | Talks and understands Urdu and Roman Urdu; screens in English | Reads PDF, CSV, Excel and screenshots, and checks them against your account | Yes, with WhatsApp reminders and settle up | | MyHisaab | WhatsApp, iPhone, online dashboard | Rs 2,499 one-time (website) | Reads typed and voice entries and receipt photos; AI sorts categories | Urdu and English | Not listed | Not listed | | Kepto | Web | Free (website) | AI sorts statement transactions | Reads Urdu merchant names | Reads PDF and Excel statements | Customer credit for shops, in Kepto Business (free trial) | | Hysab Kytab | Android, iPhone | Free download | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed | Debts and people (App Store notes) | | Wallet (BudgetBakers) | Android, iPhone | Premium from Rs 500; lifetime Rs 4,900 (App Store) | Not listed | Urdu among the iPhone app's languages | Bank connection where supported; imports spreadsheets | Mentions debts | | Money Manager (Realbyte) | Android, iPhone | Rs 450 a month or Rs 3,550 a year (App Store); free version with ads | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed | | Spendee | Android, iPhone, web | Free; paid plans from Rs 700, lifetime from Rs 7,499 (App Store) | AI receipt scanner | Not listed | Bank and e-wallet sync where supported | Not listed | | Money Lover | Android, iPhone | Lifetime Rs 4,900, bank sync extra (App Store) | Voice through Siri and Apple Watch, natural-language entry, receipt scanning (iPhone) | Not listed | Bank sync in some countries | Mentions debts | | YNAB | Android, iPhone, web | $14.99 a month or $109 a year; free trial | Not listed | Not listed | Direct import only for some US, Canadian, UK and EU banks | Not listed | ## What to look for in a budgeting app in Pakistan - Rupees and lakhs: amounts like 1.5 lakh or 2 hazar, and totals that read the way you count. - Your month, not the calendar's: most people here plan from salary to salary, not from the 1st. - Easypaisa, JazzCash and bank apps: a way to check what they show without typing every line again. - Udhaar: money lent to friends and family is still yours, so it shouldn't look like spending. - Urdu: the way people actually talk about money, typed or spoken. - Price: a free option, or a price in rupees you're comfortable with. ## Where Jayb fits Jayb is built around those six things. You tell Jayb AI an expense the way you'd say it ("chai 150 cash se", "petrol 3000 from Meezan"), typed or spoken, in Urdu or English. Budgets start on your salary day. Send a screenshot of your Easypaisa, JazzCash or bank app history, a PDF statement or an Excel sheet, and Jayb AI reads every line, leaves out what you've already recorded, and checks the balance against your account. Lending and borrowing move money to a person, so they never count as spending, and a polite WhatsApp reminder is one tap away. Jayb doesn't log in to your bank. You add your accounts yourself and keep them right by sending a statement or screenshot when you want to check. It's free on the web today, on any phone or computer, and can be added to your phone's home screen like an app. ## Which one to pick - You want one app for everything (expenses, budgets on payday, savings goals, udhaar, family budgets) and an AI you can talk to: Jayb. - You'd rather log everything in WhatsApp and don't mind a one-time fee: MyHisaab. - You only want to see what's in a bank statement, once: Kepto. - You're on Hysab Kytab now and want to keep your history: Jayb imports its export with every account reconciled. - You need automatic bank connections in other countries: Wallet, Spendee or Money Lover, where your bank is supported. ## Questions ### What is the best budgeting app in Pakistan? It depends on what you need. If you want budgets on your salary day, udhaar tracking, family budgets and an AI assistant you can talk to in Urdu or English, for free, Jayb covers all of it. MyHisaab suits people who'd rather log expenses in WhatsApp, and Kepto suits a one-off look at a bank statement. ### Is there a free budgeting app in Pakistan? Yes. Jayb is free on the web with every feature, including Jayb AI. Kepto's statement reader is free on its website. Several global apps have free versions with limits or ads. ### Is there a budgeting app in Urdu? Jayb AI understands Urdu and Roman Urdu, typed or spoken, and answers out loud; the app's screens are in English. MyHisaab says it works in Urdu and English. ### Can a budgeting app read my Easypaisa or JazzCash history? Jayb can: send Jayb AI a screenshot of the app's history and it reads each line and checks it against your account. Kepto reads Easypaisa and JazzCash statements as PDF or Excel. ## Sources - [MyHisaab website](https://myhisaab.pk/), checked 10 October 2026 - [MyHisaab AI on the App Store (Pakistan)](https://apps.apple.com/pk/app/myhisaab-ai/id6766859505), checked 10 October 2026 - [Kepto website](https://www.kepto.co/), checked 10 October 2026 - [Hysab Kytab on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jbs.hk.c&hl=en&gl=PK), checked 10 October 2026 - [Hysab Kytab on the App Store (Pakistan)](https://apps.apple.com/pk/app/hysab-kytab/id1340833168), checked 10 October 2026 - [Hysab Kytab website](https://hysabkytab.com), checked 10 October 2026 - [Wallet on the App Store (Pakistan)](https://apps.apple.com/pk/app/wallet-budget-money-manager/id1032467659), checked 10 October 2026 - [Wallet on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droid4you.application.wallet), checked 10 October 2026 - [Money Manager on the App Store (Pakistan)](https://apps.apple.com/pk/app/money-manager-expense-budget/id560481810), checked 10 October 2026 - [Money Manager on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.realbyteapps.moneymanagerfree), checked 10 October 2026 - [Spendee on the App Store (Pakistan)](https://apps.apple.com/pk/app/money-tracker-spendee/id635861140), checked 10 October 2026 - [Spendee on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleevio.spendee), checked 10 October 2026 - [Money Lover on the App Store (Pakistan)](https://apps.apple.com/pk/app/money-lover-money-manager/id486312413), checked 10 October 2026 - [Money Lover on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bookmark.money), checked 10 October 2026 - [YNAB pricing](https://www.ynab.com/pricing), checked 10 October 2026 --- # Apps like Hysab Kytab, and how to bring your history with you Source: https://www.jayb.io/blog/apps-like-hysab-kytab · Updated 10 October 2026 Hysab Kytab has been a favourite expense tracker in Pakistan for years. Its Android app was last updated on 31 October 2023 and its iPhone app on 1 November 2023, and its website now offers its money tools to banks. If you've kept your spending in it for years, you'll want an app that keeps that history and keeps going. This guide covers what to look for, and how Jayb brings your Hysab Kytab history across in one import. ## What to look for - It imports your Hysab Kytab export, so years of entries aren't left behind. - Accounts, transfers and people come across as they were, and the balances match. - Rupees first, with lakhs and Roman Urdu understood. - Budgets, savings goals and reports at least as good as what you had. - It's kept up to date. ## Bringing your history into Jayb Jayb's Import screen takes the export file from the Hysab Kytab app: the .xls file from Android or the .csv file from iPhone. It works out which one you have from what's inside the file, and turns away anything else rather than importing it wrongly. - Transfers become real transfers from one account to the other. - People are found for lending and borrowing, the way Hysab Kytab kept them. - Tags and the order of entries on the same day are kept. - Every account's balance is checked against the file. - The iPhone export doesn't say where a transfer went, so Jayb walks you through those. - Importing again never duplicates anything, and "Replace previous import" rebuilds it cleanly. ## Then more than before - Jayb AI: talk or type in Urdu or English to record, change and ask about anything. - Budgets that start on your salary day, weekly and yearly budgets, and carry-over. - Udhaar with WhatsApp reminders, shared accounts and family budgets. - Send a statement, an Easypaisa or JazzCash screenshot or an Excel sheet, and Jayb AI checks it against your records. - Free on the web, on any phone or computer. ## Questions ### Can I move from Hysab Kytab to Jayb without losing my history? Yes. Export from the Hysab Kytab app (the Android .xls or the iPhone .csv file) and import it on Jayb's Import screen. Every transaction comes across, and every account's balance is checked against the file. ### Is Hysab Kytab still updated? On the day this was checked, its Android app was last updated on 31 October 2023 and its iPhone app on 1 November 2023, and its website offered its tools to banks. ### Does Jayb cost anything? No. Jayb is free on the web, with every feature including Jayb AI. ## Sources - [Hysab Kytab on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jbs.hk.c&hl=en&gl=PK), checked 10 October 2026 - [Hysab Kytab on the App Store (Pakistan)](https://apps.apple.com/pk/app/hysab-kytab/id1340833168), checked 10 October 2026 - [Hysab Kytab website](https://hysabkytab.com), checked 10 October 2026 --- # How to budget your salary, from payday to payday Source: https://www.jayb.io/blog/how-to-budget-your-salary · Updated 10 October 2026 Most salaries in Pakistan arrive near the end of the month, but most budget apps start the month on the 1st. That's why a budget so often feels wrong by the 10th. The simple fix is to plan from payday to payday. Here's a way to do it that takes a few minutes, and how Jayb handles each step for you. ## 1. Start the month on payday If your salary comes on the 25th, your month is the 25th to the 24th. In Jayb, set the day budget months start (any day from 1 to 28) and every budget, the Home card and the month in review follow it. ## 2. Take out the fixed things first Rent, school fees, bills and any instalments leave every month. Set them to repeat once (weekly, monthly or yearly) and Jayb adds each one when it's due, so what's left to plan is real money. ## 3. Put savings aside at the start Decide what you'll save and move it on payday, not at the end of the month. In Jayb, the Save type moves money into a savings account: it stays in your net worth, never counts as spending, and a goal that follows that account moves on by itself. ## 4. Set one cap and a few category budgets A monthly cap for everything, and budgets only for the categories that tend to run away: groceries, eating out, fuel, shopping. Don't know where to start? Jayb suggests budgets from your last 3 or 6 months, and shows what your category budgets add up to against the cap. ## 5. Check one number each day "Safe to spend today" on Jayb's Home screen is what today can take and still keep you on track for the rest of the month. A 9pm reminder tells you how the day went, and an alert comes when a budget reaches 80% (or 70% or 90%, as you choose). ## 6. Plan for the unusual months - Ramadan, Eid or a wedding: give one month its own amount, and the usual amount comes back after. - Zakat or Khums: leave those categories out of budgets. They still show in reports, but never count against a limit. - A yearly bill like insurance: spread it over twelve months, so each month carries its share. ## 7. Look back once a month At the end of each budget month, Jayb's month in review shows what you spent against your cap and the month before, how many budgets held, and suggests what to change next month, one tap each. Turn on carry-over and what's left moves into next month. ## Questions ### Can my budget month start on my salary day? In Jayb, yes. Pick any day from 1 to 28. With the 25th, September runs from 25 September to 24 October. ### How much of my salary should I budget for each category? Start from what you actually spend. Jayb suggests budgets from your average over the last 3 or 6 months, and you adjust each one. --- # How to keep track of udhaar without the awkwardness Source: https://www.jayb.io/blog/track-udhaar · Updated 10 October 2026 Lending money to friends and family is part of life here, and so is forgetting who still owes what. A notebook works until it doesn't. Here's a simple way to keep udhaar straight, and how Jayb does it for personal money. ## Treat a loan as money that's still yours When you lend Rs 20,000 to a cousin, you haven't spent it: it's yours, with someone else. In Jayb, lending moves money from your account to that person, so your net worth doesn't drop and it never counts against a budget. Borrowing works the other way round. ## One balance per person - Each person shows "owes you" or "you owe", with every loan and repayment behind it. - Record lend, borrow, got paid back and pay back from the add screen, or just tell Jayb AI: "I gave Ali 5,000". - On the first of each month, the bell lists who still owes you. ## A reminder that doesn't feel rude Remind on WhatsApp sends a polite message with the amount and the date, from your own WhatsApp, to their number if you've saved it. You can read it before it goes. ## When it's forgiven Not every loan comes back, and that's fine. Settle up lets you let go of some or all of what someone owes, or record that a debt was forgiven, without pretending a payment happened. ## Khata apps or Jayb? Khata apps like DigiKhata, CreditBook and Easy Khata are built for shops keeping a ledger of customers. Jayb is for your own money: udhaar sits next to your accounts, budgets and savings, so your whole picture is right. ## Questions ### Does lending money count as an expense? Not in Jayb. Lending and borrowing move money between your account and a person, so they're never income or spending. ### Can I remind someone without calling them? Yes. Remind on WhatsApp writes a polite message with the amount and date, and sends it from your own WhatsApp. ## Sources - [DigiKhata on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androidapp.digikhata&hl=en&gl=PK), checked 10 October 2026 - [CreditBook on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.creditbookpk.creditbook&hl=en&gl=PK), checked 10 October 2026 - [Easy Khata on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tech.bazaar.easykhata&hl=en&gl=PK), checked 10 October 2026 --- # Track your daily kharcha in one line Source: https://www.jayb.io/blog/daily-kharcha-tracker · Updated 11 October 2026 The hardest part of tracking daily kharcha isn't the maths: it's writing it down every time. Jayb makes that one line to Jayb AI. Type it the way you'd say it, in English or Roman Urdu, or hold a button and say it out loud. ## Type it the way you'd say it - "chai 150 cash se", "doodh 2 hazar from Meezan", "petrol 3000 cash se", "salary 150k mila". - Amounts like 2 hazar, derh lakh or 1.5 lakh; your accounts, people and categories by the names you use. - When something it needs isn't clear, like which account, it asks with answers to tap instead of guessing. - What it saves shows as a card, with Undo. ## Or just say it Open Jayb AI, tap the mic and tell it what you spent, in English or Urdu. It understands amounts like derh hazaar or dhai lakh, records it, and answers out loud. Several things in one go are fine: "chai 150 and petrol 3,000 from Bank Al-Habib". When something isn't clear, like which account, it asks one short question with answers to tap. ## Keep the habit - A streak counts the days you kept track, never how much you spent. A quiet day counts too: tap Nothing spent today. - At 9pm, a reminder tells you how the day went against what was safe to spend. - Everything lands in a day-by-day ledger with search and filters. ## Questions ### Does it understand Roman Urdu? Yes. Jayb AI understands lines like "petrol 3000 cash se" or "doodh 200", typed or spoken, and Urdu too. ### Is it free? Yes. Jayb is free on the web, on any phone or computer. --- # An AI expense tracker that reads what you already have Source: https://www.jayb.io/blog/ai-expense-tracker · Updated 10 October 2026 Most of your spending is already written down somewhere: a receipt, your bank's statement, the history in your Easypaisa or JazzCash app, a page in a notebook, a sheet at work. Jayb AI reads them for you and turns them into transactions, and checks your accounts against them, so you don't type the same thing twice. ## What it reads - Receipts and bills: the shop, date, total and items, matched to the expense they belong to or added as a new one. - Bank, card and wallet statements as PDF or CSV, and screenshots of your banking or wallet app's history. - Handwritten pages, notes, messages and income and expense summaries: every entry read as written, totals skipped. - Spreadsheets: CSV and Excel files in any layout, like a team's expense sheet or a home budget. ## It checks before it adds - Entries already in Jayb are left out and named; one that might be is asked about. - When the account, the category or money in or out isn't clear, it asks one question with answers to tap. - Anything from a file waits for your Confirm tap, and every entry stays linked to the file it came from. ## Your balance, matched to the bank Send a statement or a screenshot of your account's history and Jayb matches it to the right account by its number or name, then shows what's missing, extra, duplicated or different, and exactly why the balance doesn't match. Ask Jayb AI to fix it, line by line, and confirm each change. ## Ask anything about it Ask what a spreadsheet adds up to by category or month, where your money went last month, or who still owes you, and Jayb AI answers from your own numbers, with the exact transactions behind every figure. ## Questions ### Is there a free AI expense tracker? Yes. Jayb, including Jayb AI, is free on the web. ### Which files can I send? Pictures (JPEG, PNG or WebP), PDFs, and spreadsheets (CSV, XLSX or XLS), up to 4 MB each. ### Does Jayb need my bank login? No. Jayb never logs in to your bank. You send a statement or screenshot when you want to check an account. --- # Automatic expense tracking, without linking your bank Source: https://www.jayb.io/blog/automatic-expense-tracker · Updated 11 October 2026 An automatic expense tracker sounds like one that pulls every transaction from your bank by itself. Jayb doesn't log in to your bank. Instead it takes the typing out of tracking: bills that repeat add themselves, categories and accounts fill in from your habits, and Jayb AI turns a statement, a screenshot or a spreadsheet into entries in one go. Here's what's automatic in Jayb, and what you still do yourself. ## What Jayb does for you - Repeating bills add themselves: rent, internet or school fees, weekly, monthly or yearly, on the day they're due. - A yearly payment can be spread over the months it covers, one entry a month. - Categories fill in from what you've paid that place before, and the account you usually use for that category is picked for you. - Send Jayb AI a screenshot of your Easypaisa, JazzCash or bank app, a PDF or CSV statement, or an Excel sheet: it reads every line, leaves out what's already in Jayb, and adds the rest after you confirm. - Every account's balance can be checked against your bank's statement, with exactly why it differs. ## What's left for you, made quick - Everyday spending is one line to Jayb AI: "chai 150 cash se", "petrol 3000 from Meezan". - Or tap the mic and say it, in English or Urdu. - At 9pm a reminder tells you how the day went, so nothing slips. ## What Jayb doesn't do Jayb doesn't connect to your bank or wallet, and it doesn't read your text messages. Nothing is pulled in without you: you add entries, or send Jayb AI a statement or a screenshot when you want to bring a stretch of history in or check an account. ## Questions ### Is there an automatic expense tracker for Pakistan? Jayb takes most of the typing out without linking your bank: repeating bills add themselves, categories fill in from your habits, and Jayb AI turns screenshots, statements and spreadsheets into entries after you confirm. It's free on the web. ### Does Jayb read my bank SMS? No. Jayb doesn't read your messages or log in to your bank. Send Jayb AI a screenshot or a statement instead, and it adds what's missing. --- # Jayb for Android and iPhone is coming soon Source: https://www.jayb.io/blog/jayb-android-iphone-apps · Updated 11 October 2026 Jayb's Android and iPhone apps are coming soon. You don't need to wait for them: Jayb already works on any phone or computer through the web, it's free, and your account and everything in it will be the same in the apps. ## Use Jayb today - Open www.jayb.io on your phone and sign up with email or Google. - Add it to your home screen: on iPhone, Share then Add to Home Screen; on Android, the browser's Install or Add to Home screen option. - Turn on notifications in Me for the evening reminder, budget alerts and card payment reminders (on iPhone, after adding Jayb to the Home Screen). ## Everything is in it already Every feature works on the web, free: Jayb AI by voice or text, budgets on your salary day, savings goals, udhaar, shared accounts, family budgets, reports, statements and the Hysab Kytab import. ## Questions ### When will the Jayb app be on the Play Store and App Store? Soon. Until then, Jayb works on any phone through the web, and can be added to your home screen like an app. --- # AI budgeting apps in 2026, and which ones work in Pakistan Source: https://www.jayb.io/blog/best-ai-budgeting-apps · Updated 11 October 2026 Most lists of the best AI budgeting apps are written for the US, and several of the apps on them can't be downloaded in Pakistan at all. This guide looks at the AI budgeting apps people ask about: what the AI actually does, whether the app is in Pakistan's App Store, whether it works with rupees and Pakistani banks, and what it costs. Facts about each app come from its own website and store listing, checked on the date shown at the bottom. ## The short answer - In Pakistan, you want an AI app you can actually download here, that understands rupees and, ideally, Urdu, and that doesn't depend on linking a US bank. - Jayb: an AI budgeting app and money manager you can use on any phone or computer through the web. Free. Jayb AI takes voice or text in English or Urdu, records and changes your money for you, and reads receipts, statements, screenshots and Excel files. - MyHisaab: AI expense tracking over WhatsApp, with an iPhone app, in Urdu and English. Most international apps connect to US, Canadian or European banks, so in Pakistan you'd be left typing everything yourself. - Rupees and lakhs, and Urdu, the way people here actually talk about money. - What the AI really does: answering questions is useful, but doing the work (recording, fixing, reading your statements) saves the most time. - Price in rupees, or free. ## Where Jayb fits Jayb was made for exactly that gap. You don't link a bank: you tell Jayb AI what you spent, by voice or text, in English or Urdu, or send it a screenshot of your Easypaisa, JazzCash or bank app and it adds what's missing after you confirm. It understands amounts like 2 hazar or 1.5 lakh, keeps budgets from your payday, tracks udhaar, and answers questions with the exact transactions behind every figure. It's free on the web, and Android and iPhone apps are coming soon. ## Questions ### What is the best AI budgeting app in Pakistan? It depends on what you need.
